So today would have been Steve Jobs’ birthday and for the first time today we’re celebrating this as “Annual Ruckusmaker day!”
So why bother? Because the great, late SJ was one of the greatest people of our time in our humble, but rugged, view and this is why we’re celebrating it:
- To us, it wasn’t WHAT he did that really mattered, although it probably should matter
- To us, it wasn’t HOW he did it that mattered, in fact many would say HOW he did stuff left a lot to be desired!
- To us, it wasn’t about WHEN he did it, if we’d never had the iPhone, we would have all been OK, better the devil you know!
- To us, it was about WHY he did it.
SJ wanted to “put a dent in the world,” he could have brought us anything to be honest because the lesson we learned from him is that you should get off your arse, you should ignore what the doubters say and you should CREATE, MAKE, FAIL, TINKER, BREAK what the hell BAKE, SEW, MODEL, whatever it is that gets you going, do it…You just might succeed and you might be happy while you try!
We still miss you Steve, we always will, but your legacy still lives on and will continue to shape the world.
Make a RUCKUS and do it now!!
