The `Trimble Juno T41 is a pretty new device but it’s already received its first upgrade in the shape of a whole brand spanking new operating system!  The Android version of the device now shops with Android v4.1 “Jelly Bean” which brings a few improvements to a business focussed rugged handheld PDA. There’s not an awful lot of difference in terms of business features from v2.3 to 4.1 with most of the improvements being aimed at the user experience. However there are improvements to battery usage, WiFi security and connection, Bluetooth connectivity is better and NFC Beam is of course included in V3.0 onwards too. because Jelly bean has a minimum RAM requirement of 512MB, the 256MB option of the Trimble Juno T41 has been removed from the price list.  You can no longer spec this for either the Android or Windows Mobile version of the device. There’s no change in price and we’re told that the changes take effect immediately. The Rugged and Mobile blog.
