Huawei have launched what they call the slimmest smartphone ever with the new Huawei Ascend P6.  At only 6.2mm thick it’s officially thinner than the Apple iPhone 5 and the Alcatel One Idol which previously claimed the title. The Huawei Ascend P6 has an up to date spec with 8MP camera and 5MP front facing camera and a quad core Cortex A9 processor with 2GB RAM.  The very latest v 4.2.2 Android OS is installed and a large 2000mAh li-pol battery along with Huawei’s own power management firmware will ensure users have a phone that lasts through the day, however its size seems to have meant certain things have been omitted. There’s no 4G for instance with the phone relying on 3G only and we couldn’t find any sign of an NFC chip in the specs. Huawei though are a seriously up and coming brand who seem to be gaining some traction as a brand from the east that might just stand up in the west through innovation and great value devices.
