We get asked all the time about which operating System the various models of Motorola’s Rugged PDA range will run and so I’ve published a table right here for folks to have a quick look up with. It outlines the most popular models, anything newer like the MC2000 series will only run the latest versions they come with.

Now I have heard rumours of WM6.1 running on MC75A’s but i’m not really sure how substantiated these are and of course how mission critically safe they are either so if you have found a way, let us know here!  Also remember that Moto will only send back the devices with the latest OS on them if they go in for repair or service now so if you do downgrade them or just want to keep them on their original build then make sure you have a good restore process to get your rugged pda’s back to how you need them when they come back to you!
